APC and PDP: Police arrests Rep Jibrin over Kano bloody clash

The Police Order in Kano State says it has captured a member representing Kiru/Bebeji Government body electorate, Abdulmumini Jibrin-Kofa over Thursday's conflict between supporters of PDP and the APC.

the Advertising Officer of the Direction, DSP Abdullahi Haruna affirmed the capture of the legislator in a meeting with the News Organization of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Friday.

He said Jibrin-Kofar was captured close by some political pioneers from the region regarding the conflict between supporters of the People groups Just Gathering (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) at Kofa town in Bebeji neighborhood government region.

No less than two people lost their lives following the conflict while 20 vehicles were singed and 18 others vandalized.

A solid source told the News Organization of Nigeria (NAN) that the state police Chief, Mr Wakili Muhammad and the Associate Overseer General of Police (AIG) Zone One; Mr Dan Bature captured Jibrin-Kofa at Kofa town on Friday.
